The tour will include openers Alkaline Trio, Thrice and The Gaslight Anthem. Official tour dates to be announced soon.
Rise Against are putting the finishing touches on their fifth studio album, Appeal To Reason, which will be released on DGC/Interscope Records October 7th.
The band teamed up with Bill Stevenson (Black Flag, Descendents) and Jason Livermore to record at the Blasting Room in Ft. Collins, CO-- the same production team and studio used for "The Sufferer & the Witness" and "Revolutions Per Minute."
Rise Against are vocalist Tim McIlrath, bassist Joe Principe, drummer Brandon Barnes and guitarist Zach Blair. In spring 2001, the band released their debut CD "The Unraveling" on Fat Wreck Chords. After two years of solid touring, Rise Against recorded "Revolutions Per Minute" (2002), followed by "Siren Song Of The Counter-Culture" (2004) produced by Gggarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Melvins, Sick Of It All). "The Sufferer & the Witness" was released in 2006 and debuted at #10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
Beck Expands Tour Plans
Beck has announced a series of US tour dates to follow his previously announced summer festival appearances.
The announcement comes on the heels of the release of Beck's new album Modern Guilt, which Beck co-produced with Danger Mouse. As always, Beck's creativity extends into the presentation of his music. The vinyl edition of Modern Guilt, which will be in stores July 22, includes download codes for high-fidelity (320 kbps) MP3s produced from a playback of the vinyl master. In other words, the first MP3 starts with a needle drop, and the ten MP3s will sound like a vinyl playback. Leave it to Beck to invent the first mobile turntable.
See below for Beck's U.S. summer/fall tour itinerary. Tickets for these new dates will go on sale the weekend of July 18/19, except for Kansas City which will go on sale Monday July 21st.
