Inspired by true events described in Jon Ronson's 2004 book of the same title, 'Goats' involves a down-on-his-luck reporter who gets more than he bargains for when he meets a special forces agent who reveals the existence of a secret, psychic military unit whose goal is to use paranormal powers to end war as we know it.

In theaters nationwide on November 6th, 'Goats' ensemble cast includes Oscar-winner George Clooney (Syriana), Golden Globe-nominee Ewan McGregor (Moulin Rouge!), Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey (American Beauty) and Oscar-nominee Jeff Bridges (The Contender). The film's soundtrack was composed by Golden Globe-nominee composer Rolfe Kent (Sideways).

British-born Rolfe Kent has composed music for more than thirty films including Sideways, About Schmidt, Election, Mean Girls, Nurse Betty, Legally Blonde, Oxygen, Wedding Crashers, Just Like Heaven, The Matador, Thank You for Smoking, Reign Over Me, The Hunting Party, and The Lucky Ones. In creating the energy for the film's score, Kent utilized instruments from around the middle east, including frame drums, reed instruments, the tambor and saz, as well as guitars and a string orchestra added to the mix.
Kent's exotic score for The Men Who Stare at Goats compliments the film's quirky plot line. The composer noted, "I loved working on the score because it's a desert movie, and how often does anyone get the chance to score a desert movie? Like Lawrence of Arabia or The English Patient, a desert movie... except in this case the characters are all nuts (or are they?)."

Directed by Oscar-nominee Grant Heslov (producer and co-writer of Good Night, and Good Luck) from a script by Peter Straughan (How to Lose Friends & Alienate People), the film generated enthusiastic press notices at both the Venice and Toronto International Film Festivals. Variety's Derek Elley called it "..a superbly written loony-tunes satire, played by a tony cast at the top of its game."
