PowerSolo Detained in Copenhagen

.
Danish plasma punk group PowerSolo have been detained at the U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen, Denmark for reasons unknown, and the fate of their debut North American tour hangs in the balance.

On the brink of an upcoming U.S. tour beginning on March 1st in Los Angeles, the band was slated to launch a stateside promotional tour for their latest studio effort Bloodskinbones, which is due for release on April 13th.

Having earned an incomparable reputation for being a full-on, intense and always entertaining band, there is speculation that perhaps this reputation has preceded them.

In the three years since PowerSolos last studio album Egg the band has been touring intensively with kindred spirits Heavy Trash (Jon Spencer and Matt Verta-Ray) in the countries where the record is available, and leaving plenty of unruliness in their wake. To date, there have been 4 tours in the USA, 2 in Great Britain, 2 in France, Benelux, Germany, Iceland, Sweden and Norway and several more around their homestead of Denmark.

PowerSolo have also recorded a soundtrack to the movie Himmerland (2008), contributed to a tribute album for cult producer Joe Meek, and have recorded songs for two whole albums with Heavy Trash. On top of all that, the brothers Kim and Bo have recorded Kim and the Cinders debut album, which was released in August 2008.

The scheduled dates in jeopardy are as follows:
3/20 - Tuscon @ TBA
3/21 - LA @ The Redwood
3/22 - LA @ The Redwood
3/24 - San Francisco @ The Hemlock
3/25 - Oakland @ TBA
3/26 - Portland @ The Rotture Club
