Chase Kroesche Releases 1-2-3 Video
. We were sent this background information about Chase: As an early teen, he was a nationally ranked tennis player and fenced, but, by age 13, he'd taken that focus, passion and intense practice schedule to music ("I traded tennis strings for guitar strings," he jokes). His hard work led to a scholarship at Boston's prestigious Berklee College of Music; touring by the age of 14; awards at the Peaks Jazz Festival in his native Utah; gigs at L.A.'s infamous Whisky; and performances with Frank Zappa saxophonist Napoleon Murphy Brock and David Bowie guitarist Earl Slick -- not bad for a high school kid. As Chase himself notes: "I'm ambitious, and a very disciplined, no-nonsense person. That doesn't make me sound very fun," he acknowledges with a laugh, "but really, the reason I listen to music is to have fun, so, when I write music, that's what it's about; it's not about telling people how bad I feel, or being sad, pissed and lonely and upset with the world. I write to make people - and me - feel happy. He's achieved that goal with "1-2-3." Simple and timeless, the pop confection will have girls swooning and songwriters envious. Check out the video here.
