Kenny Rogers To Be Honored By Country Music Hall of Fame
. "Kenny Rogers redefined and elevated country music superstardom in every sense," museum director Kyle Young said in a release. "He blurred traditional genre lines and substantially expanded the core demographics of country music's audience, all by being true to his unique artistic vision." In an interview with Radio.com last year, the singer talked about his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. "I'm so glad it's happening now rather than at the peak of my success because I'm not sure I could have appreciated it as much then," Rogers told Radio.com. "Hits come and go but the Hall of Fame is forever. There's only 130 people in there. That's pretty rare air." He added: "I'm always amazed at how well I've done and how long I've been able to do it. I don't take that for granted. You have to really want to do this to do it as long as I've done it." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
