Today The Crazy Carls frontman Alex Baugh tells us about the song "Leave Me Tonight" from their brand new CD "Owl Tattoo". Here is the story:

"Leave Me Tonight" is a song about a moment in time that didn't have to happen or might not have happened. Songwriters live part of their lives through their music, and the rest waiting for inspiration. This song was inspired by a night, when I met someone. I remembered the moment, when we first saw each other, and it stayed with me. The song describes the connection we felt and the power of the attraction. It was, as if we had known each other before, and we just caught up where we had left off. The reality was that we had just met.

I had just played a show, and she was visiting friends. I don't remember where she was from, but I do remember her name. We danced until the club closed. We knew that we wanted to know each other better, but her friends left in such a hurry that it never happened. This song is like a message in a bottle. I think somehow I still hope that I'll meet her again.

My music tells stories and reaches out to everyone. We're all trying to get by with different cues, but real feelings often get lost in the process. The night was a great night, and I want my music to hold on to it.. I'm an intense personality, and I don't like to do things half way. I think The Crazy Carls music reflects who I am. Our music sends out a good vibe because we want people to share the feeling. This song is on our new EP, "Owl Tattoo", and it's just one of the stories that we like to tell with real passion and personal lyrics. I hope our fans will follow us, as we write new music.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
