Garth Brooks Launches Child Life Zone at Indianapolis Hospital
. Through Brooks' charity, the Teammates for Kids Foundation, the aim is to bring Child Life Zones to children's hospitals throughout the country. "The Child Life Zone is a place in the hospital where no doctors or needles are allowed," Brooks said. "It's a place where a kid gets to be a kid." According to the Indianapolis Star, the Child Life Zone at Riley Hospital includes a pool table, a Foosball table and an air hockey table, as well as a Microsoft wall of Xbox video games. The room also includes a space for baking, crafts, a recording studio for guests to broadcast their visit to each patient's room and, most importantly, allows children to escape the feeling that they are in a hospital and go back to being a kid again.
