One Direction Begin Writing New Album Without Zayn Malik

The tweet is confirmed by a new bio for the band, which identifies them as a four-piece and adds the line: "In April 2015 the band started working on their 5th studio album set to be released later in the year." To go with that new bio the lads got a new press photo, sans Zayn. Payne's tweets, sent approximately two hours apart, indicate his enthusiasm for the writing session and serve as a boon to Directioners everywhere, who weren't quite sure they believed in a four-member 1D. Payne did not reveal with whom the boys might be writing, but previously collaborators have included Ed Sheeran, Julian Bunetta, John Ryan and Jamie Scott, among others. See the tweets here.
