Luke Bryan Covered Taylor Swift During Mardi Gras
. (Radio.com) Forget Spring Break, Luke Bryan is all about Mardi Gras. The country singer visited New Orleans over the weekend to celebrate his first Mardi Gras in Louisiana. The "I See You" singer was asked to be the celebrity grand marshal for the Endymion Parade on Feb. 14 and in addition to performing his own single, he covered Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off," according to NOLA.com. Bryan and his wife Caroline were part of 3,100 riders who rode atop Endymion's 34 floats. The couple waved to onlookers and threw beads into the crowd. Later that night, after the parade, he and his band played a 90-minute set for 20,000 fans that spanned 17 songs at the Endymion Extravaganza at the Superdome. In addition to playing his radio hits, Bryan covered Alabama's "Mountain Music," Collective Soul's "Shine," Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Fishin' in the Dark" and Mel McDaniel's appropriate "Louisiana Saturday Night."
