Eddie Van Halen Shows Off New Amp In Online Video
. (hennemusic) Eddie Van Halen can be seen test driving his new 5150IIIS Stealth amp head in a newly-released video by the guitar icon. Van Halen first developed the addition to his EVH Gear product line as he prepared for the band's 2012 tour in support of "A Different Kind Of Truth." "It's kind of like a turbocharged 5150III," he explains, "and some people are like, 'Huh?' because the standard 5150III is a mega-beast to begin with but it's even hotter." To fully show the capabilities of the 5150IIIS Stealth, Van Halen himself ran the gear through a thorough demonstration, putting its deep bass contour and seamless switching to the test. And he did so with some of his most beloved riffs, including the ones from "Hot for Teacher" and "Dance the Night Away."
