Steven Tyler To Debut Solo Song On American Idol Finale
. Tyler revealed the news during an appearance on Wednesday's episode in a segment that saw series mentor Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Records take the Top 5 contestants to Nashville for meetings with label staff. The Aerosmith singer - an Idol judge on seasons 10 and 11 - also announced plans to perform on the finale with popular New Jersey-based contestant Jax, one of the four singers remaining in the competition. Tyler has been in Nashville since January working with songwriters on material for his debut solo album on Big Machine Records' affiliated label Dot Records.
