(Radio.com) The 'F word' in the title of Charli XCX's new BBC documentary, The F Word and Me, isn't the one you might think. The singer focuses on 'feminism' and being a young woman in the music industry in the nearly 45-minute documentary now available on YouTube.

"Girls are ruling the charts like never before, so it feels like a great time to be a woman in pop," she says in the documentary's intro. "The F word-that's feminism-is everywhere."

In part, the documentary aims to dissect whether "the male-dominated music industry" has really changed to include women, and why women's bodies are "under more scrutiny than ever."

"I make my own decisions--good and bad--and that's what feminism's all about," Charli XCX says at the documentary's end. Read more and watch it here.
