A Tribe Called Quest Revisiting Debut Album For 25th Anniversary

(Radio.com) A Tribe Called Quest will re-release their landmark debut album, A People's Instinctive Travels And The Paths of Rhythm, for its 25th anniversary. It will also include an update for fans looking for bonus material.

The album will be remastered by ATCQ engineer Bob Power, according to a press release issued by Sony Legacy. It will also contain remixes by "a few of today's biggest hip-hop artists who have credited A Tribe Called Quest as a major creative influence."

One can only speculate as that list is wide and vast. Those who count ATCQ as major influences includes artists such as Kanye West, who tapped ATCQ to open his New York shows in 2013.

'I had this album in my head for years before I did it," Q-Tip said. "Looking at it overall, to see the thoughts of a 16 year old gain any kind of acknowledgement makes me feel like I have arrived." Read more here.
