French Montana Denies Drake Dissed Joe Budden On 'No Shopping': Drake News
.
On Wednesday French Montana Denies Drake Dissed Joe Budden On 'No Shopping' was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) French Montana's latest "No Shopping," contains a verse from Drake. A verse that seems to be a clear response to Joe Budden's recent disses. However, in a new interview Montana says that's not the case. In May, Budden reviewed Drake's newest album Views on his podcast, say Drizzy sounded "uninspired." He then attempted to inspire the Toronto rapper with the diss track "Marking a Murderer (Part 1)," which was followed by a second diss track "Wake." Things remained relatively quiet until French Montana released his newest track "No Shopping" this past weekend. Drake contributed a verse, on which he raps, "Pump, pump, pump it up/ She got a good head on her, but I pump it up/ I'm not a one hit wonder, they know all my stuff/ You let me turn into the n-- that you almost was." Budden believed Drake was referencing his 2003 single "Pump It Up" and promptly retaliated with the track "Afraid." In a new interview with MTV News posted Monday, Montana clarifies that Drake didn't have Budden on the brain when he was recording his verse. "I don't think we did that record thinking about Joe Budden," he said. "It's not that I don't think--I know that for a fact." The two were just having fun in the recording booth and weren't thinking about starting anything." Watch the full interview and listen to "No Shopping" - here.
