So Cal metal band Sangre recently released a video for their song "Death March" from their forthcoming album and to celebrate we asked them to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

Bam! 6:30am, Alarm Goes off, Shower, Get dressed, run out the door, sit in traffic and try no to fall back asleep, get to work.... work.... work some more, Repeat, Repeat, Repeat... We all know the cycle all too well. We live in a time where your life has literally become a constant struggle. We work non stop, relentlessly pushing to further ourselves and our families but never seeming to get ahead, like the rabbit chasing the carrot. This song lyrically touches on The current situation of "Living wages" vs "Cost of living". Focusing on the stress, depression, and neglect of personal health and family just trying to survive in this high demand world.

The Song Begins with the vocals screaming Karoshi!! Which is an actual epidemic in Japan known as "Karoshi" or overworking to survive which in many cases results in suicides or fatigue leading to death.

While working on another track off the record called "43" when we got to the end of the song our drummer Josh continued playing a marching snare drum beat, with a very military, libach type feel to it. He kept referring to that snare part/song idea as "The Death March". well it eventually stuck and the song was titled Death March. This song holds a lot of meaning to all of the guys in the band because we all struggle day to day with these same issues as well as the fans that we meet world over, this isn't just a local issue or a country issue, this really is a global epidemic affecting people across all walks of life from all parts of the world.

This song will appear on our forthcoming album, Mas Fuerte Que La Muerte which we will be releasing December 13th 2019. .

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen and watch for yourself right here!
