According to NME, Snoop announced the collaboration on the late night TV show Lopez Tonight. Snoop Dogg said: "Well probably put something on Twitter in like three or four days. He's a brilliant guy. The "Born This Way � Country Road Version", produced by Lady Gaga and Fernando Garibay, was recently recorded while on tour and features new Lady Gaga vocals and added guitar and harmonica. First released March 24th as a gift to her fans (she has become the first person on Twitter with 9,000,000 followers), overwhelming praise for the recording--marked by over 1,000,000 YouTube views in it's first few days of release--has prompted Lady Gaga to release the track officially. more on this story
The concert took place on Saturday, April 2, after a week of warm-ups at Terminal 5 in New York City. It was LCD Soundsystem's first MSG headlining gig. The show was the hottest ticket in town, especially since said tickets were snapped up within a record 15 seconds of going on sale.
