(press release) Tommy Lee will greet fans and sign copies of his new solo album, Tommyland: The Ride, at the Best Buy in NoHo on Friday, August 12.Tommyland: The Ride is a collection of rock-driven songs, featuring guest performances by such artists as Dave Navarro (Jane's Addition), Joel Madden, Carl Bell (Fuel), Deryck Whibley, Andrew McMahon (Jack's Mannequin / Something Corporate), Nick Carter (Backstreet Boys) and Butch Walker.Tommy Lee is a member of Mφtley Crόe, one of the most popular and successful hard rock bands of all time, with career album sales totaling more than 40 million units. At the end of last year, Mφtley Crόe reunited with all four original members and is currently on a world tour expected to be one of the top grossing tours of 2005. Lee's 2004 autobiography, Tommyland, garnered rave reviews and made the New York Times best seller list.
