Bayside Limited
Victory Records reports: Long Island, New York’s Bayside specialize in straight ahead, emotional rock with edgy guitars and heartfelt songs about concepts like heaven, hell and redemption. Called “Angular but melodic emo, with two well-arranged guitars and off-kilter vocal melodies” by Guitar World Magazine, Bayside has pop sensibilities, but is edgy and aggressive enough to have a foot in both the pop and post-hardcore camps. The band spent the spring of 2005 holed up in a Manhattan studio recording their new self-titled project which hits stores on August 23rd on Victory Records. Produced by Shep and Kenny, known for their work with pop artists like Mandy Moore and Aaron Carter, the duo bring their skill with pop melodies and song craft to a new arena, bringing out the best in Bayside.

The single, “Devotion and Desire” is pricking up the ears of Alternative radio stations as we speak and in September the video will be hitting the music channels. Helmed by Major Lightener (Straylight Run, Norah Jones), it mixes performance footage with a Lord of the Flies-like setting. Singer Anthony remembers, “There was a 40-foot bonfire…and a bunch of kids in loin cloths”. “I also got to make out with a nun. I had my first on-screen kiss, which was awesome. I’m a younger guy and she was like an older, mature, but absolutely gorgeous model that we hired to star in our video.” Scenes from the video will no doubt be stirring up talk when it arrives online later this month!

As the release date draws near, Interpunk and Victory Records teamed up to offer fans who pre-order the CD a special limited edition autographed copy of the album, these are available only while supplies last at [the full story link]- Click Here for the Full Story
