White Fire Trial |
Blabbermouth reports: The owners of a nightclub
where 100 people were killed in a 2003 fire are scheduled to go to trial
Sept. 30 to determine whether they are able to pay tens of thousands of
dollars to the families of workers killed in the blaze, a judge said Tuesday.
If the trial starts as scheduled, it would
be the first stemming from the deadly blaze at The Station in West Warwick.
State Workers' Compensation Court Judge
Bruce Morin set the trial date for brothers Jeffrey and Michael Derderian,
who say they don't have the money to fully pay $180,000 in workers compensation
claims. Earlier this year, Morin ordered them to pay death benefits for
the four employees killed, payments to the children of two workers, and
penalties and legal fees. [see full story for more]- Click

Bach
86ed |
Blabbermouth reports: Philadelphia Daily News
is reporting that former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach was ejected from
Atlantic City's Borgata Wednesday night (Aug. 17) during the MÖTLEY
CRÜE show.
According to a source cited in the report,
it started in the VIP area of the concert hall where Bach twice asked the
Philadelphia Daily News source to move because he/she had been blocking
his view. Later Bach approached and put his arm around the source and declared,
"I'm a MÖTLEY CRÜE fan," to which the source replied, "I'm a
'Gilmore Girls' fan.
Bach, a regular on the chick-friendly show,
reportedly quickly turned away while Sebastian's "lovely companion" gave
the Philadelphia Daily News source "a death stare."
The two crossed paths again later when
the Philadelphia Daily News source was leaving the bathroom and Bach was
leaving the Borgata — surrounded by a group of large security types.[see

"I'm Innocent" |
KNAC reports: Poison guitarist, C.C. DeVille
issued this statement to Metal Sludge, regarding his Sunday night arrest
in Los Angeles:
"I regret that this has happened. I just
want everyone to understand that the first write up, by Ms. Malone was
false. The facts are: I was in my home with my new girlfriend. Ms. Malone,
whom I dated previously, entered my home. She attacked me and I did not
retaliate. I do not hit women and I do not believe in violence! Ms. Malone
has done this before. She made up false charges and I was arrested. She
later dropped the charges. My girlfiend, in an effort to pull Ms. Malone
from me, was then attacked with a chair. She sustained several cuts and
bruises. Once Ms. Malone was close to the door, I pushed her out and she
left. [see full story for more]- Click

About Throwdown: Some have called
these OC rockers the future of metal with their brutal metalcore sound,
that buzz only intensified earlier this year with the impressive release
Vendetta.
Throwdown ripped it up earlier this summer on tour with Clutch, Lamb of
God, Opeth and Gwar and proving there is no rest for the wicked, jumped
right back on the road for the "To Die For Tour" with Remembering Never,
Agony Scene and Sinai Beach which is currently crossing the States. Check
out the link to the band's site for dates and to learn more about them.
