The love/hate relationship is played out on the album with a mix of classic, unreleased and exclusive songs. The classics include the J. Geils Band anthem "Love Stinks," Poison's "Nothin' But A Good Time," Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" and Air Supply's "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" (Pitt sings along to the latter in the film's climactic car chase). Consisting of 17 tracks, the album contains all the songs from the film's most memorable moments, including the scorching sex scene between Pitt and Jolie, played out to Magnet's sensual cover of the classic Bob Dylan song "Lay, Lady, Lay." Add to this new covers of such timeless love songs as Modern English's "I Melt With You" (by contemporary French art-popsters Nouvelle Vague), countered with the over-the-top rendition of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love A Bad Name" by Victory Records' exploding new metal/screamcore band Atreyu, and the album stands alone as the perfect summer-love party mix. 8 mm contribute an exclusive cover of "Nobody Does it Better," adding a woozy yet orchestral twist to the theme from the classic James Bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me," and the Voodoo Glow Skulls take on Guns N' Roses "Used to Love Her (But I had to Kill Her)."
