Gigwise reports: Jay-Z aka Shawn Carter has hit out at white folk encroaching on the predominantly black hip hop scene.

The president of Def Jam appreciates those white folk who contribute to the scene and culture but dislikes those who just jump on the urban band wagon.

FMQB reports: Former Creed frontman Scott Stapp will release his solo debut, The Great Divide, on November 22 through Wind-up Records. The lead single is its title track, which goes for adds at radio this coming week. Stapp and Wind-Up have also signed a deal with NASCAR, in which he will make multiple appearances connected to the NASCAR circuit.
