Bodom Pick Slayer over Ozzfest
Day in Rock reports: Our very own Mark Hensch recently caught up with Children of Bodom's Keyboardist Janne Warman to discuss a variety of topics including their involvement in the Unholy Alliance Tour. Here is that portion of the interview.

Mark: I'd like to ask you about Bodom's upcoming involvement with the Unholy Alliance Tour....I know I'm psyched to see Mastodon, Lamb of God, Bodom, and Slayer all on one bill! How did all this come together?

Janne Warman: This is a dream come true for us, as you almost have to be a Slayer fan (laughs). We're happy to be on it this summer as it's a really great line-up and we like Slayer and the other bands. We're actually doing it instead of Ozzfest, who've been trying to get us to play for the last three years or so. Mega Feuds
Blabbermouth reports: Jeb Wright of Classic Rock Revisited recently conducted a short interview with MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow:

Classic Rock Revisited: As you watch the finished ["The Arsenal of Megadeth" DVD], what do you feel? You have had some good and some bad in your life, as we all know.

Dave: "We all have good and bad things in our life. Because I am a public figure, people tend to take sides. What do I have now in my life that causes me problems? I have the ongoing feud with METALLICA that I don't want to have any part of anymore. I have come to terms with all of that and I would like to consider them friends. I also have a feud with Kerry King of SLAYER. I have no idea what that is even about as I have nothing against Kerry. In my entire life, I have two problems. How many people do you know that only have two problems in their life? The sad thing about it is that it is publicized."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Modern KISS
Blabbermouth reports: Thomas S. Orwat, Jr. of Glam-Metal.com recently conducted an interview with guitarist Brad Fernquist, who performed most of the lead guitar on the new solo album from KISS frontman Paul Stanley. An excerpt from the chat follows: Glam-Metal.com: What does it sound like?

Fernquist: "Well, I'm younger, so I think that he brought me in because he wanted it to sound more like modern rock. If it does sound like KISS, it's because it's Paul Stanley. But it's modern rock, it does have some heavy tunes and a couple of laid back ballads. But overall it sounds very modern."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Ego Sevenfold
MTV reports: As for those persistent rumors that Avenged are the yet-to-be-named "mystery band" at this summer's Ozzfest, Shadows isn't saying one word... "[The Ozzfest camp has] asked, and there's a lot of festivals going on during the summer," he said. "We haven't decided what we're going to do yet. We're going to Japan in August, and that runs into Ozzfest and the Warped Tour. If we were going to do one of those, we'd have to work it out somehow. It would be cool to be a traditional metal band on a tour that has, what, Disturbed on it? We'll just have to see what happens." [The MTV article also has this comical quote that would do Kanye West proud. Shadows is discussing opening for Metallica and Guns N Roses this summer in Europe.] "I'm not nervous at all [about opening for both bands]. I feel we're the ones that are going to come up and take those bands' place when they're not doing it anymore." [yeah.. see full story for the full MTV article]- Click Here for the Full Story
