Final Hot Snakes
CMJ reports: Hot Snakes will release their final album together August 15. Thunder Down Under (Swami) features 13 tracks from the garage punks, who announced their breakup in July 2005 and played their last shows last August. Hinder Gold
PR reports: Who says you can't reward 'extreme behavior.' Rock's hottest new 'bad boys,' Universal Republic rock band Hinder got more than a pat on the back this week, with their Extreme Behavior album being certified Gold by the RIAA for shipment of 500,000 copies. The raucous debut effort has benefited from non-stop touring from the Oklahoma fivesome, including a June trek through Canada with Boston band Godsmack, and a much celebrated 3 month juggernaut with Nickelback through September. 

The band's current single, the world-weary ballad "Lips Of An Angel", has ruled rock radio with Yahoo and VH1 now embracing the enigmatic new video - Yahoo kicked off the world premier on July 24 and VH1 has placed Hinder in their "You Oughta Know" campaign, whose past artists have included James Blunt, Joss Stone, Keane and most recently KT Tunstall. Esoteric Tour
PR reports: THE ESOTERIC have posted three new tracks from their highly-anticipated new album Subverter online at the band's Myspace page. The tracks include the rocking "Destroy, She Said" as well as the titanic "Language Is a Virus / Shipyards of Foreign Cities" and the mind-bending "Clone Culture and the Cut-Up Method." Produced and engineered by Paul Malinowski (Shiner, Open Hand, The Life And Times) along with Eric Graves, the genre-defying new album Subverter is the band's sophomore effort for Prosthetic Records and is slated for an Oct 17 release date.
