bin Laden Loves Whitney
hecklerspray reports: A Sudanese writer - who claims she was Osama bin Laden's personal sex slave a decade ago - says that Osama wouldn't ever shut up about how much he wanted to marry Whitney Houston and then kill her husband Bobby Brown. Although it sounds like a typical case of making your enemies less scary by turning them into figures of fun, perhaps this Whitney Houston information might assist the search for Osama bin Laden - all troops need to do now is to go to the Tora Bora caves and follow the sound of My Name Is Not Susan accompanied by wistful Arab sobbing.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Weezer Carry On?
Punkbands reports: After Rivers Cuomo told MTV last month "I'm not certain we'll ever make a record again," the band posted this on their website: "this PSA has been brought to you by the fine guacamole dip at Scott Shriner's house, co-sponsored by a ring of fine cheese, and a dish of fresh figs from the back yard. Now please, take those "weezer split?" headlines and place them firmly into the "Don't believe the hype" bin. And have yourself a fine afternoon now."- Click Here for the Full Story

Keane Rehab
PR reports: Keane frontman Tom Chaplin has checked into a rehab from treatment of alcohol and drug abuse. As a result the band had to scrap a number of North American tour dates. The tour was set to kick off next month but all dates in September have been postponed. According to the band's website, make up dates will be announced soon and it does look like the October dates are still a go. The band had canceled some shows in Europe earlier this month, saying at the time that Chaplin was suffering from exhaustion.

Chaplin said in a statement on the band's website, "I've been having to deal with an increasing problem with drink and drugs, and the time has come to get the professional help I need to sort myself out. I feel desperately disappointed to be letting down our fans, but I want to get myself right now so that I can be back on the road for the rest of the year." - Click Here for the Full Story

K-Fed Sucks
Wenn reports: Prominent members of the hip hop community have slammed BRITNEY SPEARS' husband KEVIN FEDERLINE's debut performance at the TEEN CHOICE awards, labelling him a joke. XXL magazine editor in chief ELLIOT WILSON and King magazine executive editor JERMAINE HALL have both hit out at the lacklustre performance.

Wilson says, "I think we ignore him. He's a joke, basically. I just don't think he gets it. "He doesn't get that he's Britney's man and it's hard to take him seriously." Hall adds, "The thing that really hurts him is the fact that he's perceived as Britney's husband. "You know, kinda like Britney's second - I don't even want to say second in command, but - he's like the Britney Boy. "He's like Mr Spears, and it's kinda hard to get over that perception."- Click Here for the Full Story

"Here's the thing about Jane's Addiction, as much as I love it and was a huge part of my life, we have reunited three times in our career, when enough's enough you kind of pack it up, and Perry [Farrell] remains one of my favorite all-time singers and he has a great thing coming out called Satellite Party. Looking forward to that." When Kimmel pressed the rocker to say Jane's Addiction is no more, Navarro responded, "Never say never.- Click Here for the Full Story

Smoke This
hecklerspray reports: [Not Music related but an interesting story about how far political correctness has gone] It's hard to watch Tom And Jerry cartoons with children these days. Not because Tom And Jerry relentlessly torture each other with knives, anvils and explosive devices, but because they sometimes smoke.

Luckily, one other Tom And Jerry viewer in the whole country agrees with us here. They complained to TV watchdog Ofcom about how inappropriate it was for children to see images of smoking in cartoons, and have been rewarded with the news that 1,700 cartoons are going to be edited for cartoon smoking. Of course, it's ludicrous to think that children will want to take up smoking after watching a Tom And Jerry cartoon - for instance, we've seen hundreds of Tom And Jerry cartoons and we've never smoked a cigarette. We've exploded more than 50 cats with sticks of dynamite, but we've never smoked a cigarette.- Click Here for the Full Story
