(BWR) Scott Stapp and Jaclyn Nesheiwat have announced their wedding date for February 10, 2006, in Florida. Stapp is the Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter and founder of Creed, currently supporting his solo debut The Great Divide, and Nesheiwat is Miss NY USA 2004 and Director of Public Affairs for the Scott Stapp Foundation (a charitable foundation that supports children and seeks to promote healthy parent-child relationships); both are Florida natives.
Jaclyn and Scott met at the Muscular Dystrophy Association Annual Gala in New York last January. Stapp released his first solo effort, the platinum-certified The Great Divide on November 22, 2005 and has plans to tour in Spring 2006.

How can a women be stupid enough to marry a man who appeared on TV drunk and hitting on another women just days after getting engaged? Which is exactly what he did on Casino Cinema with Beth Ostrosky, Howard Stern's girlfriend. He might as well be holding up a sign that says I will not be faithful! He just got out of rehab! Another big clue that this is not going to work. A few years from now we'll be reading the divorce announcement.

I read the interview from RollingStone magazine. So I know what it says. I'm glad it cleared alot of things up, and that Stapp is on the road to recovery. I just want to say that Tremonti is no saint, even from this article, one can see how that guy is.

Ah, a Stapp fanatic. I haven't lied everything I posted is true and can be confirmed, you just can't accept the truth about him. Don't take my word for it read it all for yourself. Rolling Stone just released an interview with Scott. He confesses to being recently released from rehab. He also admits to having been adicted to drugs and alcohol for the last several years. He apologizes for his behavior at the infamous Chicago concert etc. and hopes that Creed will reunite someday. It also confirms his recent fight withh 311, as well as his drunken behavior on Casino Cinema and it also mentions that he met Ms Nesheiwat HAILING A CAB, this time it says in NY. I do believe this is a misprint and it was South Beach and not a lie on Stapp's part this time. I wonder if maybe his PR read these boards seems a bit too coincidental. I may not like him anymore but I respect him for finally telling the truth. A little to late though. I wish him well in his long road to recovery, hopefully he will take the necessary time and not rush it. Maybe if people like you didn't always make excuses for him he would have gotten help sooner. As for the 120 newspapers, I could care if it was published in 10,000, I still believe especially now it was done for publicity for his upcoming tour and to due damage control. I don't think it is going to help him any, but I think this article today proved my point!

I still think the real reason you don't like it is because it WAS published in 120 newspapers. That's what you don't like about it. Don't talk about liars when you are one. At least Stapp helps out charities, that's more then some can say.

I should mention that I did locate a copy of the article in the NY Times that Kathy posted about at a Stapp fan site Passion's Breeds Followers or something like that to verify her accuracy before I posted. Stapp did in fact say he met her hailing a cab in So. Beach. The truth is not quite as flattering or romantic as the press release tried to make it.

I didn't take Kathy's post as a complaint but as a correction of misinformation given to the public. Intentionally given to the public as a means of publicity. Every newspaper has used the exact same announcement and I am sure both Stapp and Nesheiwat were shown it and gave their seal of approval prior to it being released. Mr. Stapp has a very low public image not to mention his recent solo CD sank. Perhaps your unaware of Stapp's recent dramas, on Thanksgiving he was drunk and beligerent in a hotel lounge in MD, got into a fight with the band 311 and was thrown out of the hotel. Just days later he arrived drunk to tape a show of Casino Cinema to promote his CD. His behavior was rude, beligerent and sexist. This aired on Spike TV just weeks ago for all to view. This announcement is entirely about publicity! His PR people are trying desperately to do damage control to his tarnished image which is understandable but do not lie or manipulate facts to do so. Do not use your girlsfriend's affiliation with a reputable chairity to gain positive promotion for yourself. Ms. Nesheiwat's affiliatition with MDA was through Miss NY, as Miss NY. Her attendance that evening at the gala was as Miss New York 2004 that is why she was wearing her official sash. To use that relationship with MDA as a means to gain positive publicity for herself and her boyfriend does question one's integrity as well as morals. As for working for his foundation (again another means of promotion) is like saying your Director of Consumer Products at Carson's Inc., which happens to be your Dad's vegtable stand on the corner of Rte 6 & 10. I have enormous amounts of repect for those people who give either their time or money to charities if they do so from the heart not for publicity or a pat on the back. There should be no ego's where charities are concerned. What celebrity even if it is a C-list, advertises their upcoming nuptials like this, except for someone who wants attention. This notice was published in over 120 newspapers. That's ridicules. Stapp has quite a reputation for being egotistical, a liar and an alcoholic plus much more and this announcement just cements it for me. Neither him nor his people get it yet. Time to grow up man and be real.

They did attend the (MDA) event anyway, which is the main thing. Maybe there was a mixup in what was stated to the press. Plus she is working for his foundation. So why complain about it.

Actually they did not meet at The Muscular Distrophy Gala last year, that is an outright lie. They already knew each other and Scott Stapp was Ms. Nesheiwat date for the gala. This was stated by Mr. Stapp himself to a reporter for the NY Times which appeared on Jan 6, 2005. The article titled "Oh, she says that to everyone" quotes Mr. Stapp as saying he met Ms. Nesheiwat trying to hail a cab in South Beach. Ms. Nesheiwat stated in this same article that Mr. Stapp was her guest and felt badly about attending the event empty handed and so stopped at Sam Ash to purchase a Fender Stratocaster and signed it. You can find this article in archieves, once again nothing but lies revolve around this man. Seems his PR person tried to make him look good after all the recent negative publicity, but to lie using a wonderful charity. Shame, shame. Isn't Miss New York supposed to be role model and have some type of morals?
