Mystikal Gets Jail

AP reports: Grammy-nominated rapper Mystikal has been sentenced to a year in prison for trying to cheat the federal government out of $271,000 in taxes.

Gold Blunt

drillTEAM Media reports: Custard/Atlantic recording artist James Blunt continues to surge in popularity in the U.S., as his debut album, "BACK TO BEDLAM," is certified gold by the RIAA for sales in excess of 500,000 copies. At the same time, the album has leapt into the top 20 on this week's Billboard 200, landing at #16 with a bullet. In the past two weeks alone, the album has jumped 33 spots on the chart. "BACK TO BEDLAM" was released in the U.S. on October 4, 2005.

Blunt will fly to the U.S. for a very special pre-Grammy Awards performance at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on February 7th. He will return to the States in March for his first full-fledged headlining tour. Hello Wendy reports: Particle is poised to return to the stage this spring with a fresh lineup, new material, a tour, and a DVD. The band's first live performance of the new year will be on Friday, February 24 at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Hollywood. Billed as Particle: Transformations, the show will be filmed for a DVD to be released this summer and will feature an array of special guests. Tickets will go on sale this Saturday January 14 at 10AM, and are available online at www.goldenvoice.com. Additional information about the evening's festivities and guests will follow over the next few weeks.

Particle is excited to announce that Shout! Factory will release the Particle: Transformations DVD nationwide.
