Rocker Shot
blabbermouth.net reports: According to The Buffalo News, Rodney Appleby - the bassist for DEEP PURPLE frontman Ian Gillan on his North American tour in support of his new album, called "Gillan's Inn" - was shot in the jaw after he accepted an invitation to visit a neighbor's house, Buffalo police said Saturday (Nov. 25).

Appleby, 49, was shot once at about 2:30 p.m. when he went to the nearby Fillmore Avenue home of his neighbor, Theodis Johnson, 41, Ferry-Fillmore District officers said.

Johnson is accused of firing a gunshot that struck Appleby in the jaw. Officers Cedric Littlejohn and Daryl Williams charged him with attempted murder, criminal use of a weapon and criminal possession of a weapon.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Britney's Crotch
AP reports: Fresh from her split from the club-hopping Federline, Spears looked hip and wholesome weeks ago in a surprise appearance on David Letterman's show and while ice skating in New York's Rockefeller Center in a Gap sweater. But now she's unleashing her inner wild child, running around with party girls Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, sporting unflattering hair extensions and flashing her apparently panty-less crotch to the paparazzi. (Be prepared to cringe if you dare to view the uncensored photos, splashed unceremoniously across the Web). [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Lohan to Play Stevie?
TMZ reports: According to a source quoted in Life & Style, Lindsay may make a Ray-like film portraying rock goddess Stevie Nicks. "Lindsay says that movies like "Ray" and Walk the Line" are good examples of the kinds of projects she'd like to do," the source says. "She feels like she's found a dream role in a story about Stevie Nicks at the height of Fleetwood Mac's fame. Lindsay loves the music of that era." Linds may even be looking to wear a producer hat for this project as well.

Lindsay recorded a breathy version of Stevie's hit, "Edge of Seventeen" (I still prefer Jack Black's in School of Rock), on her record released last December, "A Little More Personal (Raw)." Even though the record didn't garner rave reviews, it makes sense that Lindsay may think she can pull off something like this. A Lohan rep says she has "no clue" as to whether La Lohan is seriously considering the role. The End of Trail of Tears
blabbermouth.net reports: Norway's TRAIL OF TEARS has split up. The group's official statement on the matter reads as follows:

"It is with great regret that we announce that Jonathan [Perez; drums], Kjell [Hagen; bass], Runar [Hansen; guitar] and Kjetil [Nordhus; vocals] yesterday (November 28th, 2006) left TRAIL OF TEARS. The decision was taken with immediate effect, and thus the band does not longer excist. TRAIL OF TEARS will therefore have to cancel all forthcoming shows, including the X-mas [Festivals] tour dates in December, and we sincerely appologize for any inconvenience this might lead to. "Up yours!" replied the outspoken star, who "married" his partner David Furnish in a civil ceremony last year. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
