Pot TV for Michael
hecklerspray reports: That George Michael, he's one rock and roll motherlover isn't he? OK, so actually he's not - in fact listening to a George Michael album tends to be a bit like carbon monoxide suffocation without all the nice smells - but you get the idea.

After all of George Michael's rock and roll scrapes - which mainly involve wanking and sleeping, to be fair - you'd expect that George Michael would want to keep his head down. But no. In fact George Michael is about to do the most shocking thing of his entire career. Release a record that doesn't make us drop off faster than, well, George Michael at a zebra crossing? No - more shocking than that. George Michael is going to smoke a joint on television and then say how much he likes it. It will shock and astound you, or at least it would if pictures and quotes of every word he spoke during the interview hadn't already been splashed all over the place, that is. Doors Anniversary Parties
blabbermouth.net reports: Steve Baltin of AOL Music reports that on Nov. 8, the three remaining members of THE DOORS will gather at three separate locations in Los Angeles - each with historical significance to the band - to kick off festivities surrounding the group's 40th anniversary.

Guitarist Robby Krieger will be at the famed Whisky to preview the upcoming box set, "Perception", while keyboardist Ray Manzarek will be next door at the Cat Club, formerly the London Fog, where the band made their live debut. There, he'll preview a mini-version of the band's forthcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame exhibit, opening May 25 at the Rock Hall in Cleveland. Finally, drummer John Densmore will be at Book Soup, former home of the Cinematheque 16, to host a poetry reading of late vocalist Jim Morrison's work. Among those joining Densmore will be Perry Farrell, who resurrected Morrison through unreleased tracks on his upcoming SATELLITE PARTY.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Suffocation Busless
blabbermouth.net reports: SUFFOCATION drummer Mike Smith has sent the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET: "SUFFOCATION's seven-week tour with FEAR FACTORY, HYPOCRISY and DECAPITATED, set to start on the 22nd of October, has been jeopardized due to fraudulent bus companies.

"The story goes like this in this exact order of circumstances: Four months ago we locked in tour bus arrangements with ******** ******* ******* to drive SUFFOCATION and HYPOCRISY on the U.S. tour. Three days before the tour was to begin, the bus company pulled out leaving us to scramble with no replacement. In a panic we called multiple bus companies to save the day, one of which was a company called ****** ***** & ****, owned by **** ********* out of Philadelphia. Because it was last minute, we were instructed to pay half of the cost upfront, which we did — close to $20,000. The bus never showed up[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Rise Against DVD
punkbands reports: Rise Against announce that they will be releasing a new DVD titled "Generation Lost". The band writers: That's right, we finally have a DVD coming out. Our good friend Davy Rothbart joined us last summer on Warped and filmed our weird lives in a documentary called "How We Survive."

While the documentary certainly talks about each of the band members, it also takes time to remove the spotlight from the band and shine it deservedly on our amazing fans, who are the true gears that keep us moving. We threw in some live footage from the Troub in LA last spring, and a few more goodies so check it out when it comes out on December 5th. - Click Here for the Full Story
