Hanson Go On Another Walkabout
PR reports: With Hanson's fourth studio album, The Walk, which debuted in the Top 5 on Billboard's Independent Chart, the band has announced a new set of U.S. dates beginning September 7. The Walk Around The World Tour has a refreshed message in their goals to fight poverty in Africa and a re-tooled live set for the fans.

On The Walk Around The World Tour it is not HANSON that is trotting the globe (though they will be touring in South America this Fall) Hanson's new campaign is to encourage fans and other individuals to continue the one mile walks they have hosted since last Fall to fight poverty – with a new mission of compiling enough miles to walk 'around the world' (24,902 Miles.)

Through the campaign others can organize their own walks locally coordinated through Takethewalk.net set to launch mid-August or join Hanson for a walk during their tour. For each mile, a dollar is donated on the walker's behalf - by the band. Most importantly fans are empowered to directly support real solutions on the ground in Africa through the tour and the bands site. - more on this story

Blessid Union Of Souls Are Close To The Edge
PR reports: After rotating band members, management companies and record labels over the past few years, Blessid Union Of Souls—founders lead singer/songwriter, Eliot Sloan and bassist Tony Clark, along with six year vets Bryan Billhimer (guitars) and Shaun Schaefer (drums)--are back with the band's sixth studio album, Close To The Edge.

It's due out September 16 on Torque Records (distributed by Sony/Victory/Red). The first single, "Could've Been With Me," is currently being serviced to radio stations nationwide and will be made available on iTunes in the coming weeks.

Taking eight tracks from their previously independent album, Perception and adding four fresh new songs to the record, the band is back in full force with a new outlook on their careers. - more on this story

Starving for Gravity Want To Rock Against Diabetes
PR reports: "I hate the hardship that this disease placed on my family, and nothing sucks more than watching your little brother go into diabetic shock." That statement was made by Lucas Holter, lead singer for the band Starving for Gravity. His brother Brandon was diagnosed 15 years ago with Type 1 Diabetes. Now, his band has a chance help the cause.

SFG were selected from over 5000 acts to participate in a "Rock Against Diabetes" Concert to be held in Las Vegas on August 23. They were named one of the Top 10 bands that will be competing for a spot on the bill. However, to realize that dream, they need Votes.

Proceeds from the concert will go to diabetes research, treatment and education. And, the members of Starving for Gravity want to do their part. They've already enlisted their fan base, but need additional help. They need Your Vote. - more on this story

Order of Ennead Culling Preview
Let's Capitalize Every Other Word in Our Press Releases Records reports: ORDER OF ENNEAD, the recently-formed Floridian extreme metal band featuring STEVE ASHEIM (drums; DEICIDE), SCOTT PATRICK (bass), KEVIN QUIRION (vocals, guitar) and JOHN LI (guitar), have revealed their brand new debut track, entitled "The Culling".

"The Culling" is a fitting debut track for ORDER OF ENNEAD, delivering everything you could want from an extreme metal song - brutal drums, harsh vocals, pulverising [sic]riffs and shredding solos.

ORDER OF ENNEAD vocalist and guitarist KEVIN QUIRION recently described the meanings behind the songs. Here's what he had to say about "The Culling": "This one is about getting rid of those who bring you down and ridding yourself of destructive habits. Distancing yourself from negativity and those that are negative. The abolishment of those who are non-supportive." - more on this story

Tokyo Police Club MTV
NLM reports: Tokyo Police Club will play live on MTV's F'N MTV Friday, July 25, performing "Graves" from its acclaimed debut album Elephant Shell. Prior to the F'N MTV live performance, Tokyo Police Club returns to its native Canada this weekend for the Summersonic and Rogers Picnic festivals, while the remainder of July and August finds the band making its way through Australia, Japan and London.

Tokyo Police Club will continue its relentless touring regimen with another string of U.S. dates beginning September 8 in Baltimore and featuring headline dates at the likes of Los Angeles' Henry Fonda Theater, as well appearances at the Street Scene, Treasure Island and Voodoo Festivals. - more on this story

. Bum Kon - Drunken Sex Sucks
They were smart, they were quick, they could play very well and they meant it, but Bum Kon wasn't destined to become hardcore legends like early Black Flag or Circle Jerks. Instead, they've become immortalized punk youth few outside of Denver knew about.. (4 stars) - Read the full Bum Kon - Drunken Sex Sucks review
