An image of the band's gear - including Jett's easily-identifiable guitar - appeared Tuesday on the Facebook pages of both Nirvana and the Foo Fighters.
The status of a Nirvana performance at the Rock Hall event remains a tightly guarded secret. The band will be inducted by R.E.M. singer Michael Stipe during the ceremony at New York's Barclays Center; other honorees include KISS, Peter Gabriel, Cat Stevens, Linda Ronstadt, and The E Street Band.

"Aerosmith is one of my all time favorite bands, and one of the greatest rock & roll bands of all time," says Slash. "It's an honor for me to go out & tour with them and keep the rock & roll banner flying high."
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler had this to say about the tour, "Looking forward to inciting a riot and building the tribal bonfire even higher--it's a win win with Slash".
Aerosmith' Joe Perry, who originally broke the news online, adds, "The writing's on the wall--Aerosmith and Slash. We're gonna let rock rule this summer. Catch us if you can."
Aerosmith and Slash didn't just announce the tour dates in the usual fashion. They revealed the tour plans in a big way by performing at the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood on Tuesday. Aerosmith - without guitarist Brad Whitford - played four tracks, including "Draw The Line", "Same Old Song And Dance", "Pink" and "Walk This Way" before being joined by Slash for "Mama Kin" and "Train Kept A-Rollin." Prior to the North American outing, Aerosmith will be spending the spring on the road with shows scheduled in Turkey, Europe, Russia, the U.K. and Ukraine.

"Ace [Frehley] and particularly Peter [Criss] felt powerless and impotent when faced with the tireless focus, drive and ambition of me and Gene," writes Stanley. "As a result, the two of them tried to sabotage the band - which, as they saw it, was unfairly manipulated by money-grubbing Jews."
Both Frehley and Criss have responded publicly to the accusations made by Stanley. "They can't call me a drunk or a drug addict anymore, so they're grasping at straws," responded Frehley during an appearance on this past Monday's (April 7) edition of Eddie Trunk's show "Trunk Nation" on SiriusXM's Hair Nation (audio below). "I mean, Jesus Christ! My fiance is Jewish. How can I be anti-Semitic? Is he out of his mind. [Laughs] [I've spent] 40 years in the music business [and] I've worked alongside Jewish people my whole life. And I'm anti-Semitic? It's ridiculous. I think he's trying to sell his book, and it's a pretty sad commentary if he has to resort to verbal slurs and innuendo. It's ridiculous."
On Tuesday, Criss told TMZ that all of Stanley's claims are bogus. The drummer told the tabloid outlet that he's always been a loving supporter of all religions, including the Jewish faith, explaining that his favorite aunt was Jewish. He also denied being a racist in any way.

"I'm excited about tapping into that part of Sam, because he is such a soulful singer and a lot of people don't see that, because you know, Sammy loves to just create a party wherever he goes. He has the true gift of just lifting people up with his energy. But when you catch Sam in a quiet moment and you start playing some blues and stuff, all of the sudden this deep river of soulfulness comes out of him and I've always related to that. I've always loved that in other musicians," said the legendary guitarist in an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock.
"The very first time we started writing together many years ago, suddenly that came out and I went "Oh man, Sam - we've got to do more songs like this!" He's sure the situation isn't an intentional one, but says: "I'm always picking at people and trying to get them to open up and maybe talk. A lot of people don't want to do it, and that's fine, but I'm not that kind of guy.

His bandmate (and brother) Tim Foreman, on the other hand, had a very different experience hearing the track. Long before his '68 VW bug had a tape or CD player, the only way to listen to music was from the very staticy car radio, where he happened to hear his music for the very first time.
"The only way you could listen to music was you had a radio and it came in sometimes," he explained. "It happened to come in right when our song was on. I freaked out."
