In the filing, Stapp's wife, who filed for divorce recently, states the former Creed singer has been abusing enough amphetamines, crystal meth and steroids that he has become "a paranoid shell who has threatened to kill himself and harm his family."
According to the Miami Herald, Stapp's wife supported claims of drug abuse with a series of texts from the singer including: "Florida is not safe. Biological weapons on the way. U have to leave with kids and meet me in Atlanta."
"Wells Fargo working out my account problems. I'm out of gas. Haven't eaten all day. I'm asking if they can spot me $1,000 so I don't fall over from malnutrition."
"God is also telling me something about Palm Springs and Nashville so there's a connection somehow. He's also telling me DEA for some reason."
"I'm coming to get you Satan and children. No mercy. You know how this ends. God created you and now God is ending you."
"I wouldn't doubt it if the CIA is behind Alcoholics Anonymous."
A hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, reports the newspaper. Under Florida's Marchman Alcohol and Other Drug Services Act, a judge can order Stapp into treatment for up to five days then up to five months if needed. Stapp's wife and mother-in-law believe he may attempt to self-detox, which can sometimes be fatal. Read more

The band's mainman was forced to retire earlier this year as his condition deteriorated. Latest album Rock Or Bust, released on Monday, is their first without him.
Angus Young recently revealed that his brother had begun experiencing problems before they decided to embark on the three-year tour in 2008, which became the fourth biggest-grossing of all time. At times he had to relearn his own riffs.
Now Johnson tells the Guardian: "It was tough. But you couldn't say anything or do anything because it would have been like giving pity. You had to treat it like a normal day - so we did."
Johnson adds: "God knows what went through his mind when he wasn't that well. He'd go on stage and 'Oh sh*t!' Can you imagine knowing you're not sure? You know where you are, but your mind's playing tricks. He was brilliant." Read what Angus had to say

Austin broke the news to fans via Facebook with the following post: "At 9:30 PM last night while driving to New York to meet up with our Drummer, our van was struck by an out of control car that had collided with another car. My dear friend and TITD merch man Trevor and I had just left my home in Orland, Maine after a 4 day Thanksgiving break in between tours. We had just completed 50 + Shows since October 7th, both Headlining and Main Support for Eyehategod. Our band was set to play 23 more shows starting tonight in Pittsburgh.
"We had been driving for 4 hours and had just crossed into Massachusetts. Suddenly, Trevor said Look Out! I looked towards the passenger window and saw a car heading in a straight line for the side of our 15 Passenger Van. The car was within 3 feet when he saw it and it nailed us perfectly in the side spinning us around 180 Degrees, followed by flipping the Van UPSIDE DOWN. Trevor and I were thrown super hard inside the Van with Glass bursting all around us, hot transmission fluid pouring down and sparks flying everywhere as the Van was sliding backwards and upside down the Middle of I-495 interstate. I truly felt at that moment that I was going to die.
"When we came to a stop, I held on tight and waited thinking the next thing that would happen would be a car finishing us off and slamming right into us. I screamed to Trevor to get out of the van immediately for fear that it would catch on fire and explode. We crawled through the Driver and Passenger windows worried that oncoming traffic would hit us. Once out, we made our way to the guard rail. Disoriented and in Shock I was emotionless.
"In one terrible second: #1 New van was completely Destroyed. #2 Equipment was Destroyed. #3 Merch was destroyed. #4 Tour cancelled.
"EMT's arrived and Fire Dept. They took me and Trevor by ambulance to the hospital. Cat Scans, X-Rays and Morphine was given. My left arm was cut up by broken glass and the left side of my body was badly beaten and bashed on. We stayed in the hospital for 8 Hours and were finally released early this morning. When we got out the room we had reserved was gone and we spent another hour trying to find shelter and a place to regroup.
"It goes without saying that It was Truly a Miracle that he and I were not killed yesterday. F*** Black Friday and all that it stands for. People had been driving wildly going from store to store to save $10 bucks in the name of xmas. The capper was that the 2 cars that had collided were full of liars that would not admit they were the ones who hit us even though the police can paint match who did.
"I am beaten and bruised and recovering. With the help of my friend Aarne Victorine that plays in UXO with me and his friend, we were able to pry open the back door with a winch to be able to get our broken stuff out of the van a few hours ago and rent a U-Haul to be able to get what's left home.
I am devastated and still in shock since this happened. I am extremely sorry to the fans in the towns that we were supposed to play in over the next few weeks. If we weren't injured so badly, I would have still wanted to try to make it to you some how. But for now, I am a father with 2 kids, wife and 2 dogs trying to figure out how to move forward after losing everything yesterday. I just want to let everyone know, that Trevor and I will be ok. It will take some time. Mentally, it was just way to heavy to deal with and we will need some space and time to try to make sense of what just happened.
"I leave for home in the morning and will begin to pick up the pieces after I get to feeling better and can physically address the things going on.
"Take care of yourselves out there during these holidays. People are careless and drive crazy during this time of year and no matter how careful you are, the other drivers can take your life in a second. I am thankful to be alive right now and can't wait to be with my family. Again, don't worry. If what happened yesterday didn't kill me, I don't know what could. Love and Peace to everyone. If you don't hear from me, for a while it is because I am just trying to get myself back together."
Guitarist Broderick announced his departure hours after Glen's brother, drummer Shawn, did the same - leaving Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson the only current members of the thrash band.
Drover says via Facebook: "I'm very sorry, but that will never happen. There is no chance I would ever do that. Thanks a ton for all your awesome support; it was fun while I was there, playing all those cool shows and meeting a lot of you." Read more

"tonight we gonna rock rotterdam!," posted the group as they announced his return to the lineup. "welcome back james!" Kottack spent a month in a Dubai jail this past spring after being convicted of alleged misconduct at the United Arab Emirates capital's airport.
On April 29, the drummer was sentenced to one month in jail and was fined 2,000 dirhams (approximately US $545) for drinking alcohol without a license after authorities claimed he insulted Islam.
Following his release in early May, Kottack connected with the MusiCares organization, which provides musicians with help for mental health and addiction issues.
"I am determined to come to grips with my alcoholism and am doing everything on a daily basis to beat this relentless disease," posted Kottack at the time. "This entire incident caused me to realize that it is time to stop drinking once and for all so that I can become the father, musician, and friend that I know I can be."

The Facebook-led campaign has gathered nearly 20,000 followers since launching last month. Similar chart pushes have become the norm since Rage Against The Machine secured number 1 in 2009, beating the winner of Simon Cowell's TV game show The X Factor.

He tells One On One with Mitch Lafon: "Bob decided he was going to make our new record before we ever met him. For us, somebody like Bob and people who come from that bygone era when rock really ruled, it's very hard for us to access them because it's a different time and place. I don't think we thought someone like Bob Rock would make an album with us.
"He happened to hear our song In The End on the radio in Hawaii where he lives and fell in love with the song and fell in love with the idea of the band. I got a call saying do you want to meet Bob Rock and have breakfast with him. I said, 'Of course,' and the rest is history." Read more

The three-part comedy production follows The Life Of Rock With Brian Pern, broadcast in February, featuring Peter Gabriel and Rick Wakeman as themselves.
The first episode of the new series will be aired on BBC2 on December 9, and sees Pern reuniting with his former colleagues in prog outfit Thotch to create a jukebox musical. Producers say: "This is not easy as they hate each other. Not only that - on the opening night Brian is unexpectedly arrested for a crime he doesn't know he's committed."
In the second episode Pern plans to celebrate "the tenth anniversary of the twentieth anniversary of the fifth anniversary of the first anniversary of the non-release of his unheard debut solo album, Brian Pern's Musical Version Of The Day Of The Triffids." Blackwood tells JSOnline: "We basically have to sell out to break even. Jack, obviously, is the key. He was willing to say, 'These things need to exist, so it's okay if it takes us 10 years to make our money back. It's hard to imagine anyone else would do something like this."

And the singer won't rush it, insisting he will give it time to evolve. Bayley tells Angel: "I'm working on it bit by bit. I absolutely don't wanna rush it. I want it to evolve the same way that Silicon Messiah did and Blood & Belief did and The Man Who Would Not Die.
"Those albums all were really solid, because they evolved. We wrote things, we went back, we polished, we decided what to leave off and what to make the most of. So the next one, I've worked it out so I could do it when I want. It can come out next year, or it can come out in 2016.

And the Murderdolls frontman reveals he got inspiration for the upcoming concept album from "bizarre and weird" subject matters. He says: "I'd become really intrigued with forbidden history books, UFOs, religions/astrotheology, and all sorts of conspiracy theories over the past few years - subject matter so bizarre and weird.
"I've seen things in the skies as a kid that were not normal airplanes or shooting stars - objects doing maneuvers that normal fossil fuel crafts couldn't do. I'm not saying that was aliens - it could've been top secret government crafts being tested. I've also seen some things in recent years that were definitely not any technology that we supposedly have on Earth.
"I read about so many things I'd never heard of before in the wake of this and it really inspired me to write about it, and tell it via my own weird concept album." Stream the new song and check out the tour dates

"At the end of the night, I'm standing next to this black curtain. I pull it back and there's Prince with Sheila E. I go, 'Hey, man, great show.' He says, 'When do you want to jam? How about Friday?'

That's what we want the song to be called.' And if you listen to the chords, [the chorus] just fell into place so I can't claim any credit on that thing."
"It was as quick as it had to be, which was that night," said Johnson about the first song he wrote with the band. "I guess I had to try and impress somebody."

"We all played on the original," says May, "but you wouldn't know it because it's disco. The strange thing is that it was just a quick one, and you think, 'Freddie just tossed it off,' but I took it into the studio about a year ago and took everything off apart from Freddie's vocal, expecting to hear all sorts of interference coming from his headphones, and there was nothing: just a clean, beautifully pure vocal.
"He sang 'love kills', and it's nothing trivial. He wasn't just delivering to requirement. He was writing something that he felt in his heart. And he did find that love kills."

The track is taken from the band's album All The Right Reasons and went on to become one of their biggest hits. Kroeger and guitarist Ryan Peake took part in a fans' Q&A for Bandit Rock Radio where they mainly discussed new album No Fixed Address - interrupted at one point by a phone call from Kroeger's wife, Avril Lavigne.
"The one song that we have that was the hardest song we've ever written is off of All The Right Reasons, and it was Savin' Me," Kroeger says. "We were like, 'The verses are so good. This is good.' And the chorus was just sh*t.
"I kept just coming up with sh*tty chorus after sh*tty chorus. Until I sat there the one day and just played it, 'Show me what it's like.' And then all of a sudden it went boom." Read more

Page tells the NME: "I went to hear them in New York. They were fantastic. Absolutely riveting. They're such fine musicians. It's music of tremendous quality.
"However long the set was, I could have heard twice as much. Their album has taken the genre up a serious few notches. It's so refreshing to hear, because they play with the spirit of the things that have preceded them, but you can hear they're going to take rock into a new realm - if they're not already doing that." Earlier this year, Cooper asked fans to send memorabilia from the venue as he wanted to document the club. Now Dolenz says he's been approached to contribute to the project.
"They've talked to me about that," He tells Huffington Post Live. "The Hollywood Vampires were started by myself and Alice Cooper and a couple of others.
"It started out as a softball team and we played every weekend. We would raise money for charity, going out playing other local teams, corporate teams or the local police department or fire department. Of course, they always won! We were a bunch of Hollywood weirdos, running around.
"Then we would go back to the Rainbow and that's where would recuperate and lick our wounds after the games." Read more

The new song is backed with a home demo of Tis a Pity She Was a Whore. "If Vorticists wrote rock music it might have sounded like this", says Bowie. Vortism was a British art and poetry movement of the early 20th century that was inspired by Cubism.

He explains in the video: "It was a stroke of genius on drummer Brit Turner's part. We were discussing the meaning in the lyrics of Holding All The Roses. The song's about in a race or a contest - if there's a feeling of competition and you feel like you're winning, what is it that you actually win? We're all winners - but if we all win, who cares?"

It's the subject of an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, which has secured nearly a third of its funding target with 25 days remaining. Arcade Messiah is my new metal instrumental project, and from the beginning I set myself some guidelines, I wanted to make the heaviest album I could yet retaining a musically cohesive with a melodic structure. I wanted the music and imagery to reflect an apocalyptic and nihilistic feel. I wanted to create heavy riffs with unusual time signatures that didn't fall into the trap of sounding overcomplicated and sounded natural. I also didn't want any traditional guitar solo's, as I feel it can be very easy, when writing music to just say, "lets throw a guitar solo in there to fill that bit out". I wanted to remove that possibility, so that I could focus more on the key structures of the songs and make them strong so they didn't need any additional guitar solo decoration.
The name for the song "Your Best Line Of Defence Is Obscurity" was a line taken from a fictional book, which was made up of notes and instructions sent from a Father to his Daughter, they were written to guide the daughter on how to survive an apocalypse. And one of those survival tips was to always remain obscure and remote and to not draw attention to yourself as everyone in that situation of panic would be out to get whatever they can from whoever they meet. Musically as with all of the album, I wanted to create an ominous climate, an epic heavy sound, crunching guitars, big riffs over odd meter time signatures whilst interlaced with moments of psychedelic calm. As it was the second song on the album and following a fast opening track, I wanted a melodic opening that was calm and sedate and that would explode suddenly, with that wall of guitar sound but also playing the same melody as the intro.
The song went through many different stages before it was finished, and the most trouble I had was the opening wall of guitar sound and getting it to sound suitably heavy. Combining the right sounds of heavy riffs and picked guitar arpeggio parts and getting them to sound the way I wanted took some time for this track. There were numerous guitar tracks recorded, in different ways with different tones, through different amps, all layered together and panned to fill up the stereo field. I think well over 12 distinct parts for guitar, both a standard electric guitar and a baritone guitar tuned to B were used on all tracks on the album. In my mind I wanted to create a heavy slow motion soundtrack to accompany someone watching the horizon of a city in flames. Something dramatic and heavy but moved in slow motion. Does that make any sense? I'm not sure, but in my mind it does.
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself here and learn more about the album and how you can get it for a "pay what you want) download
