Dominates NAACP Image Awards

(antiTainment) "Ray" was the big winner at
the 36th NAACP Image Awards on Saturday (March 19). The film based on the
life of late singer Ray Charles earned four awards including outstanding
motion picture and a best actor award for Jamie Foxx.
"Ray" also brought home honors for Kerry
Washington won best actress and Regina King who won best supporting actress.
"This has been an absolute wonderful ride,"
said Foxx in his acceptance speech. "Thank you, Taylor Hackford, for having
the vision on this beautiful movie of Ray Charles. You took a chance in
Hollywood. They said this was a black film ... but he stuck to his guns
for 15 years."
Fox will broadcast the awards ceremony
at 8:00 PM on Friday (March 25).
