(MVD) MVD and Inakustik are pleased to announce the home viewing release of the New Morning Paris Concert DVD Series for North American distribution on DVD. The series will be released on June 6, 2006

JOHN HAMMOND – THE PARIS CONCERT

This performance was recorded on February 19th 2004 at the "New Morning" club in Paris, one of the most important European Jazz clubs. Singer & guitar virtuoso John Hammond shines as one of the most distinguished ambassadors of the Blues: the foundation of rock, folk and pop music. His many ardent fans never miss an opportunity to catch John’s latest grand epic repertoire. This hot night in 2004 at the New Morning was just such an occasion. Four cameras captured the spectacular performance professionally, on digital tape. Sound engineers ensured perfect stereo sound in Dolby Digital 5.1. Bonus material includes a candid interview piece entitled, "In conversation with John Hammond".

Tracklist: Just Your Fool, Phonograph Blues, Fattening Frogs For Snakes, Get Behind The Mule, Who’s Loving You Tonight, Walking Blues, Come On in My Kitchen, Mother In Law Blues, Love Changing Blues, Spider & The Fly, Slick Down Vric, No Place To Go, Step It Up And Go, My Time After A While, Can't Be Satisfied, Hard Time Killing Floor, I Whish You Would, She's Tough, Jockey Full Of Bourbon, Homeless Blues, Someday Baby Blues, Maybeline, Fanin Street, Preaching Blues, and Honest I Do

SOFT MACHINE LEGACY – THE PARIS CONCERT

The 40th Year Jubilee Celebration This performance was recorded on December 12th 2005 at the "New Morning" club in Paris, one of the most important European Jazz clubs. As a celestial phenomenon neighboring the musical big bang of the Sixties, The Soft Machine Legacy echoes the melodious growl of an era when rock'n'roll, blues, jazz, jazz-rock, funk, soul, pop were, as yet, nothing more than a magma of sounds challenging the musicians' ability to shape the course of music to come. Forty years later, The Soft Machine Legacy musicians have not forsaken their dreams. Immune to the leveling pressures of show biz, Hugh Hopper, John Marshall, John Etheridge and Elton Dean - who died shortly after this last reunion at the New Morning - still mesmerized their fans. Four cameras captured the spectacular performance professionally on digital tape and sound engineers ensured perfect stereo sound in Dolby Digital 5.1. Bonus material includes a candid interview piece entitled, "In conversation with Soft Machine Legacy".

Tracklist: Ash, Seven For Lee, 1212, Baker's Treat, Has Riff, Kings & Queens, Drum Solo, Two Down, Kite Runner, and Strange Comfort
