Here you go: The world got a first taste of Beck's as yet untitled new album today, as Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show premiered the song 'Chemtrails' and declared it today's "hottest record in the world." The song is now streaming at www.Beck.com and Beck's MySpace page. The album is slated for an early summer release.Recent news in the media which claimed that 50 Cent is about to sign a mega deal with News Corp has now been denied. 50's management company Violator Management, through their representative Chris Lightly has denied the news stating that it was nothing more than just rumors. more

The Wildhearts will perform a special concert to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of the release of the "Earth Vs The Wildhearts" album. The show will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Shepherds Bush Empire in London and will feature "Earth Vs..." performed live in its entirety. more
Flobots will be celebrating the May 20th release of their debut album, Fight With Tools with an in-store appearance at the Virgin Megastore in Hollywood tomorrow [or today if you're reading this on May 20th]. According to the press blast: Fans who purchase a copy of the much anticipated new album will receive a wristband entitling them to a signed copy of the new CD at the Flobots In-store appearance to take place at the Virgin Megastore after the live event. Here is what they had to say: A group of friends in Mississippi frustrated with the lack of talent and responsibility in the music industry today have chosen to post their jam sessions and improvised songs in protest to the ignorance of potential. In a world full of con-artists, there are few winners; the truly fortunate, and the ultimate posers. New music is rarely released from any artist. In an attempt to raise the bar(and from the very bottom at that) we will be releasing songs that we believe were better improvised in one take than most artists can accomplish with a 50,000 vacation. Currently there are only a few songs, but there are more coming from the vaults and the future. It is unfathomable how pathetic all of you are, and we will spit so hard that it ricochets. - go spit back here
