Helmet fans mark your calendars for early September. The band are not only releasing a new album but are launching tours of the North America and Europe.

First on September 7 they will release their new album, "Seeing Eye Dog," their first since 2006's critically acclaimed Monochrome.

The next day on September 8, the tour launches in Sacramento, CA and will take Helmet across the U.S. and Canada. Immediately after, they will head to Europe for a string of dates.

Marking their first release on the indie Work Song label (with physical distribution by Redeye and direct-to-fan digital delivery by Topspin), Seeing Eye Dog is their seventh album overall and was produced by band leader, vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Page Hamilton, with additional production by Toshi Kasai and vocal production by Mark Renk.

On songs that consistently cut deep, with new sonic textures that are an outgrowth of Page's film scoring work, his guitar is on fire as always and his vocals are as wicked as ever. The album's 10 tracks include the title cut, "Welcome To Algiers," White City," the mostly instrumental "Morphing" and a cover of the Beatles' "And Your Bird Can Sing."
