Singled Out: Lace Weeper and Kevin Wood (Malfunkshun) Tribute To Mother Love Bone's Andrew Wood
. It was a huge honor for us to do this recording, myself and Kevin (Wood) have worked together previously and I was a huge fan of his and Andy's work. Lace Weeper had put out the debut EP in January and we done a tour to support it, so it was nice to sit back, take some off time and record a tribute to someone we hugely respected. True music is timeless and we're just playing our part in paying our respects to a fantastic lyricist and frontman. The recording process itself was very laid back, we took our time in order to capture a "fun" element that I think Andy would have approved. We wanted to put our own mark on it but maintain the vibe of the original, and I think we got what we wanted. We're releasing it on Kevin's Wammybox Records, and later this month we're releasing our own single ''So Long, Farewell, Goodbye'' too that we're debuting on Radio Nova on the 17th, so there's plenty going on here at the moment. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself right here!
