Metallica Gift Leads To Corruption Probe

(Classic Rock) A bass gifted to the governor of Jakarta by Metallica's Robert Trujillo has been confiscated by Indonesian anti-corruption officials. Trujillo signed the instrument before giving it to Joko Widodo last week.

A spokesman for the Corruption Eradication Commission says: "We will check if there is any conflict of interest or if there was an exchange of favours. The process takes up to 30 days, and after that we will decided whether to return the guitar to him."

Widido, who was elected mayor last year, cites Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Napalm Death as his favourite bands. More rock news.
