The Reasoning Releasing Christmas Song

(Prog) The Reasoning will release a one-off Christmas single, It's Christmas (Sing Out Loud), on November 25. The festive treat was recorded at Magenta's Robert Reed's studios in Wales, and indeed features Reed on keyboards as he deputised for current Reasoning keyboard player Rob Gerrard whose wife had gone into labour.

The band have recorded two versions of the song; a full band version in keeping with the tradition of classic Xmas party style tunes like Slade's Merry Xmas Everybody and Wizzard's I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, and delightful vocal and piano version (both got the thumbs up from Prog when we heard them). Both versions will be available from iTunes and all other digital outlets from Monday November 25.

"One of our motivations for this release was our exasperation with contemporary Christmas songs that just don't seem to hit the spot anymore," say the band. "Where are the bells and the glockenspiels that evoke such a powerful nostalgia at this time of year? What happened to all the fun?!? You'll find it all here in this gloriously catchy, upbeat, sing-a-long song: we could all use a bit of good feeling in our lives right now, and here it is!!" more on this story
