The Neighbourhood Recruit Danny Brown For Hate Machine
. This time around, it's with the Neighbourhood, the California five-piece who broke through with last year's "Sweater Weather." The band has a new free album #000000 & #FFFFFF out soon, and the newest taste of it is "Hate Machine" (stylized "H8M4CH1NE" on Soundcloud), featuring a verse from Brown. The atmospheric tune includes decidedly oriental instrumentation cues throughout in addition to a deep, reverberating bass and swirling backing vocals. "I've built this hate machine off broken dreams," frontman Jesse Rutherford sings before Brown comes in about halfway through to finish off the track, joined by a drum machine.
