Kanye West Defends Drake In Latest Rant
. West ranted against the magazine during the Yeezus Tour stop in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday night (February 15), according to this report. West accused the magazine of allegedly trying to create drama between himself and Drake. The planned cover story reportedly included negative quotes from Drake about West's 'Yeezus' album. The publication reportedly quoted him as say, "There were some real questionable bars on there," Drake said of the Yeezus track "I'm In It," according to MTV. "Like that 'Swaghili' line? Come on, man. Even Fabolous wouldn't say some sh-- like that." But Drake denied ever making the statement. He told fans on Twitter last Thursday (Feb 13), "I never commented on Yeezus for my interview portion of Rolling Stone. They also took my cover from me last minute and ran the issue." West came to Drake's defense during the concert on Saturday during a 20-minute rant. He told the crowd, "Let me tell you what it is about magazines: they always be trying to pit n***as against each other. That ain't going down anymore. We love Drake. If anything, we are going to go after those motherf***ers and their negativity, because before they print sh*t like that, they need to check with me and him to see if it's OK before they get ran up in their motherf***in office." West also ranted against the media's perception of him and Apple CEO Tim Cook. Watch video of the rant here.
