Rihanna Gets Fashion Icon Award

(Radio.com) Rihanna's style has made her the Queen of Instagram (unofficial) and one of the most talked about pop stars. And now, it's garnering her an award. The Council of Fashion Designers of America announced Monday (March 24) that Rihanna will be honored by their 2014 Fashion Icon Award in a ceremony taking place on June 2.

"We are proud to present Rihanna with the CFDA Fashion Icon Award for her impact on the industry as fashion's most exciting ambassador in recent memory," said CFDA CEO Steven Kolb.

The award was announced, appropriately enough, on Instagram. The image, embedded below, contains some of Rihanna's more impressive red carpet moments, including her surprising 2013 GRAMMYs appearance in a red Azzedine Ala�a gown. more on this story
