Jason Aldean Reveals New Album Details
. "With this new album, it's definitely the same old me," Aldean said in a press statement. "But, I like to mix things up and try new sounds and go into territory I've never explored before, so I do a little bit of that too. That's why I named the album Old Boots, New DirtI'm almost 10 years into this crazy ride, but in a lot of ways, I feel like I'm just gettin' started." Last month Aldean revealed the album's first single "Burnin' It Down," a slow-jam love song that shows him playing around with, as he said above, "new sounds" and sonic "territory" that shows him exploring new song styles and arrangements. Aldean released a video for the single last week. The 15-song album was again helmed by Aldean's longtime producer Michael Knox and recorded with members of his touring band. "We've worked together long enough [that] he knows what I'm into and things I'm not," Aldean told Radio.com about his partnership with Knox. "We are not always on the same page, but more times than not. I think that's why it's always worked so well. It's cool to find somebody like that who shares the same vision-somebody you can trust."
