Joey Badass Arrested For Alleged Assault
. (Radio.com) Joey Badass can't seem to disprove his name Down Under. While playing the Falls Festival in Australia over the weekend, the New York rapper--real name, Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott--was charged with assault after reportedly breaking a security guard's nose. According to The Fader, Joey Bada$$ has pleaded not guilty to the charges. According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (via Billboard), the 19-year-old rapper punched a 20-year-old security guard after the guard stopped and checked his credentials before he went on stage on Friday (Jan. 2). The guard was taken to the hospital with a broken nose and other facial injuries. Bada$$ was arrested after the show and spent the night in custody.
