Largely due to the unprecedented success of her speech at this year's Digital Hollywood, Courtney Love has been commissioned by a division of HarperCollins to write an empirical work that will offer direct insight into her experience with the music business thus far, giving readers an unobstructed view into both the seedy deals and the ones that have unequivocally prospered. Love hopes it will fundamentally serve as a kind of "guidebook" for artists and those wanting a detailed and unrestricted account of the music industry, in all of its glory and shame.
This comes at particularly appropriate time in Courtney's career with Hole's recent signing to Left Bank Management. Regarded by many as THE artist-advocating management company, Left Bank is headed by Allen Kovac, a man who has committed himself to maintaining and furthering artists' rights by assisting with some of the biggest artist catalogue takebacks in history with the likes of the Beatles, the Bee Gees, and Mötley Crüe.
In the meantime, Hole are revving up for
a return to rock-out in the studio in October, as Courtney continues to
pen new songs for possible inclusion on their yet-to-be-titled record.
The search for a bass player has also ensued, and among the bassists currently
considered to be in the running for the coveted position in the band is
fire-breathing Amazonian bombshell punk rocker Corey Parks of Nashville
Pussy. Keep watching Hole.com
