Sizzling Summer Of Chris Lane

It gets hot in Vegas early in April. To make it even hotter this year, Chris Lane took to the red carpet for the very first time at this year's ACM awards.

Keeping up with Chris Lane and his fast and furious rise over the summer of 2016 is nearly impossible. The ACM's were just the beginning of the Summer of Chris Lane. Being just days away from the Friday August 5th release of his debut CD, Girl Problems, Lane is the most up-and-coming country artist on radio. Currently on tour with Rascal Flatts, over 10 million streams on Spotify and 20 million on Pandora, Lane's first single "Fix" is becoming one of biggest and best summer songs of this year.

One almost needs a flow chart to keep up with the popularity and Lane's schedule since the ACM Awards. Lane's love for performing has taken him from the iHeart Country Music Festival, Grand Ole Opry, opening slot on the Rascal Flatts tour, countless radio station promotional appearances and as of most recently one of the premier artist's at CMA Country Music Fest in Nashville.

The much anticipated release of Girl Problems has Lane on the fast track for cementing his name in today's Country Music Scene.

When it came to the selection of tracks for Girl Problems, Lane definitely had a clear direction for the final product. "I wanted songs that make me want to move and dance on stage. I might be one of the worst dancers out there and I freely admit that, but I love to have fun. I wanted people coming to the show to be ready to party and do the same". Lane also pointed out he was open to picking the best songs for this CD, whether he had written them or not. The final product was the most important thing for him and for the listeners. Teaming up with producer, Joey Moi (Florida Georgia Line and Jake Owen) helped solidify Girl Problems with songs that span R&B, sexy & sultry, to dancing in the aisles. "Here I am a guy from Kernersville, North Carolina who's been playing as a cover band and only having a buddy of mine record some previous stuff. I heard the Florida Georgie Line record and thought it sounded amazing, and now here I am working with the same guy. It was definitely a dream partnership for me as an artist to work with Joey," as Lane explained.

From the reaction of the audiences over the last few months, it is quite evident these songs are going to be part of everyone's playlists this summer and going forward. Lane was pleasantly surprised to find out recently his set at CMA Fest's outdoor stage drew one of the biggest crowds for a new artist of that week. "I have never had music out where people come and sing every song; it's the coolest feeling in the world. They are coming out and singing the words to "Fix", but to have them singing all the other songs is icing on the cake."

The future holds a long and successful career for Chris Lane. So, I had to ask.If you were asked to put one song from this CD in a time capsule to be opened 100 years from now, what would it be and why? Wow, great question as Lane elaborated. "I guess maybe "Fix", it the most personal and the song that started everything for me. I hold it forever close to my heart. We are progressive now for country music. It would be interesting to look back (if opening the time capsule and listening) and compare it to country music of the future."

Fans can catch Chris Lane this summer in support of Girl Problems with Rascal Flatts. The former fan and concert goer, who not so long ago was paying to see them at the same North Carolina concert venues, is now forging his own path in country music out on the road. "This (tour) is a dream for me. It wasn't all that long ago when I was paying to go see them. Kicking the tour off in Charlotte was really a full circle moment for me and my music".
