antiGUY gives his top 5 list of music stuff. Could be songs, people, a stupid trend... nothing is sacred to antiGUY

Top 5 Reasons Axl Rose Cancels Concerts.

Due to the timely nature of this topic, I decided to bring you this top 5 list a little early this month.

With the recent cancellation of the Axl Rose’s Guns N Roses tour opener, it appeared that some things never change. True, Axl supporters are quick to blame organizers for the show's cancellation, which led to a small scale riot, but Axl isn’t exactly innocent when it comes to pulling the plug on shows or storming off stage in a fit after a couple of songs. What happened in Canada earlier this month may have occurred because the promoter knew very well Axl’s history and when the only original member of Guns N Roses hadn’t shown up at the venue (he was said to be in the air on the way to the show an hour after the doors were scheduled to open) he decided it was better to be safe than sorry and canceled the show.

Even if Axl isn’t really to blame for this recent debacle ( if we ignore the fact that he waited until the last minute to fly in for the gig) then this may just be a classic case of  “don’t cry wolf,” given Mr. Rose’s history.

The backlash on both sides of the debate has been major with everyone pointing the finger at someone else. But we do know from this incident that Axl is indeed back in action after a long absence and we can look forward to these kinds of hijinx in the future. I know this list is bound to start anther argument between those who support Axl to the end, no matter what, and those who view the controversial frontman with a skeptical eye. Of course, I fall into the latter category as this Top 5 will point out but nevertheless those who don’t see the fun in this list are free to post their derogatory responses in the fanspeak. (we know there will be some of you lurking about) But please, whatever you do, don’t sink to the level of Fred Durst and Missy Elliot and start labeling those who take a comedic view of the behavior of Axl as "haters".

Top 5 Reasons Axl Rose Cancels Concerts.

5) Moments before taking the stage he gets a sudden inspiration that could be “the one song” that would make Chinese Democracy worth releasing after the ten year wait. He leaves the arena, goes to the studio and begins recording his new hit song that goes a little something like this, “bow down before the one you serve / you're going to get what you deserve..” .

4) Axl panics when can’t reach his regular consultant at the Psychic Friends Network.

3) With his ego riding shotgun, Axl’s chartered plane is too heavy to take off.

2) Axl walks into the dressing room, sees his guitarist with a KFC bucket on his head and suddenly he has an uncontrollable craving for chicken, so he goes and clears out a KFC instead of playing the show. (Where do you think Buckethead gets his buckets from?)

The number one  Music Pairings:
He’s watching VH1 Classic and sees an old GNR video and realizes if he goes through with the show, the fans and the press in that town will see the current Guns N’ Roses for what it really is, The Axl Rose Solo Project.

Your turn, what do you think?  Let the hating begin!

They call you
Your Comments?:

Before you begin, please study these definitions so that you will understand some of the posts that follow.

A hack: Someone of limited, if not nonexistent, talent that somehow becomes popular.

Hater: Lame term used by sheepish followers of Hacks or the Hacks themselves to describe people who have enough taste not to listen to such trite garbage.

Jealous: Another term often used by hacks and their sheepish followers. In their mind if you do not like the product produced by the Hack then the only logical reason could be that you are jealous of their luck at becoming popular with their lack of talent.

The reality of the matter is those people often referred to as haters who are accused of being jealous simply have enough taste and sense not to purchase the products produced by the Hacks and see the Hacks product for what it is, TOTAL CRAP! While Axl does have talent and is not a Hack some of his defenders show Hack-sheep like tendencies in excusing Axl for his recent behavior. If you dare point out Axl's shortcoming or bogus behavior and tendencies you are often blasted with the "Hater" and "Jealous" terms by Axl's sheep.

Axhole might be onto something. I'm going to make a record and tour as The Beatles.

Posted byhaha:
I guess there really are suckers born every minute and they stick up for Axl? That is sad. Where did all of these Axl defenders come from? Is this Axl posting this crap, I have a hard time believing rational people would defend this losers behavior towards his fans. Be careful if he ever does hold another concert and actually showed up and when they pass out the cool aide it would be smart not to drink it.

Wit without a sense of humor is the lowest form of sarcasm. Although, brave "peacelily", I do commend the hilarity of your position. Taking up the Sisyphean task of defending prima donna behavior, all wit aside, is energy better expended on building a better Pet Rock.

Posted bypeacelily:
Better to blow out a concert than be a sad cynic who makes a living sneering at other people's lives. Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, after all....

GNR without Slash is like me with a brain, it just doesn't make sense

Posted byjoey2:
antiguy when you say that im the wrost pice of crap to ever visit this site, ill have to agree with you.

Posted byJamie:
ok....so I'm a sucky typist...

Posted byJamie:
Yeha....and Slash's vocalist kick AXLE's ASS too!! Just thought I'd throw that in....

Posted byAXL KICKS ASS!!!:
I don't what the hell you're talking about! I'll admit that Axl's voice is a bit weaker but he can still do it right! And yes i miss Slash but i hafta to agree with Webmaster: Axl did make GNR!!! Go Axl! I'm coming to your concert!

Posted byChris Wadsoworth:
Basically this whole "new Guns n Roses" thing amounts to this: Fatty McGoo and the guys that arent Slash. I give buckethead and the rest of them for thier musical talent no doubt, but in the end they arent Slash. Slash was Guns n Roses. Think about it, when was the last time you heard a ten minute vocal solo at a concert? I must admit that Slash has his own problems with ego and substance abuse, but I'm sure he can still play guitar at least, that is more than I can say for Axl and his voice. I am one of those peoplee who bought an $80 ticket to a Guns n Roses show. It is December 9 at the MCI center in DC. I am looking foreward to it because I love their songs, they are undenialbly some of the best songs evver created and the most fun to lissten to. I think what needs to happen is that both these guys just pull their dicks out of their asses and make peace for the good of the dying rock music community...thank you for your time.

This just in... In order to compete with the "raw rock revival" bands like the Strokes, The Hives etc, Axl is thinking about changing the name of the band to... (drum roll please)... "The No Shows".

Cry babies always get their ways!

Posted bywebmaster:
Quit bagging on Axl. He made G N'R. He was G N'R, he was always the undisputed leader of the pack. The band would have been nowhere without him. He's not afraid to call a spade a spade, that's why he gets in trouble. He cancelled the show for publicity. a trillion dollars worth of news stories. On a lighter note, what's with that chicken coop?

Posted byim a mad man:
i cant stand GNR or ass hole rose. and i cant believe bucket head sank so low as to join up with them. and thats all i have to say about that

Posted byaG:
No Joey, you are the worst peice of crap to ever visit this site.

Posted byjoey2:
wow antiguy this is by far the wrost piece of crap to ever appear on the site.

Posted byJoh:
They self-destructed after Slash left...

Posted byNothing:
Klown, I'm pretty sure the 2 was for the number 2 reason, not for GTA2

Posted byevilklown:
SMIC: Who the hell plays Grand Theft Auto 2? The least you could have done was GTA3. ---the klown

Posted bySMIC:
5. Axl cant fit into his pants 4. Axl decides to stop living a lie and goes searching for slash to profess his eternal love 3. Axl is distracted by trying to make it to the next level of "grand theft auto" 2. Axl cant find the tape he was going to lip-synch to 1. Axl forgot he had to attend an AARP event on the same night

Posted byVampireRyan:
I was gonna add more to the previous top 5 but looks like Axl "Temper Tantrum" Rose is now the subject. I couldn't give two s**ts about Axl Grease. I know the reason he cancels them. He sees a guy in the audience with a camera, beats him up, whines, and says "I'm going home!" Wuss. As for the previous top 5, well, my pair would be System of a Down and P. Diddy. Oh wait. That already happened.

Posted byAXL Hater!:
Axl Rose is a pouty baby, such a fagot. Walks out on the best band in the world, Metallica, and walks out on his own fans. I can belive that guy has fans anymore.

Posted byDexter Holland:
HEY! MAN YOU DISRESPECTING ME?

Posted byMaster of puppets:
I HATE Axl he ruined a perfectly good METALLICA concert cause his voice was acting up he is jus tha biggest looser in tha music industry

Posted byGREENMUSE:
lol, great work AG.maybe he cancelled because "keep em seperated"era dexter holland called and wanted his hair back

Posted byCraig:
Axl is a loser. People who spend $80 cnd to see "Guns and Roses" are morons. He couldnt sell out GM Place, and in a few years he'll be lucky to sell out a nite club.

Posted byBEN:
I think that this "Axl solo project"is a total disaster.I look forward to a historic reunion...Slash Rules...

Posted byStarchild666:
Yes yes make fun of Axl how much Do U want.. I'll better woun't talk sh*t about him before I hear Chinese Democracy..

Posted bybb-retro:
I see the Canada fiasco from both sides. The dudes that ran the show had a point of calling it off cuz Axl wasn't there on time and looking at things the dude has done before, I would have called it off before. Axl thinks they called it off too soon and that's true to. They should have waiting until the intended start time to see what was up before calling it off.
