Controversy |
FMQB reports: The Strokes' new single from
First Impressions Of Earth, "Juicebox," has already begun invading the
radio airwaves, and the band will shoot the video this weekend. However,
they are being very tight-lipped about the concept. Frontman Julian Casablancas
told MTV.com, "We're doing a live performance at a radio station [in the

Interview |
antiMusic reports: For this week's MorleyView
antiMusic's Morley Seaver speaks with Cradle of Filth's Dave Pybus about
the band's future and his brand new label SixSixSix Records as well as
other topics. In this excerpt Dave talks about the next CoF album: antiMusic:
Can you give us a sneak peek at the songs for the new record? Any titles
yet and does the material continue in the same vein as the stellar Nymphetamine?
Dave Pybus: It's a progression from Nymphetamine
in regards to catchy songs with some hooks and lots of good ideas. We have
most of the material written now... near on 15-16 tracks... with a few
more still to be completed with arrangements. We are also trying out a
few new ideas. All good.

Blindside
Recovery |
Blabbermouth reports: Sweden's BLINDSIDE have
issued the following update on their recent and upcoming activities: "This
tour has been one of the more interesting of our career. Six shows into
the tour, Tomas [bass] fell of a skateboard and fractured his skull. This
was very serious injury and Tomas has been in and out of hospital several
times in the last few weeks. We are glad to report that is now seems very
likely he will make a full recovery and while he has not picked up a bass
yet we expect to have him back on stage very soon. It was the first time
in our history an injury has made it necessary for us to use another player.
Will from APHASIA has done a great job filling in and the TRAPT fans have
made us feel very welcome. [see full story for A LOT more]-
