Bizkit Over
Rockdirt reports: Those hoping for new material from Limp Bizkit won't be happy to hear what Wes Borland had to say to MTV News. "We're officially on hiatus, maybe even officially over," the guitarist said. "It's kind of up in the air. No one said, 'We're done as a band.' Everyone's just doing their own thing, and [some members] don't have time for this band anymore. I haven't quit, but I've also decided to stop thinking about Limp.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Van Halen RIP?
KNAC reports: Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony was interviewed in February 2006 for the April issue, which is out now. ...On the current status of Van Halen: "Well never say never but we're currently in a state of limbo. After the reunion tour ended so abruptly we all went into our own corners and truthfully Ed doesn't want to tour right now or maybe ever again. I don't know what he's thinking at this point. So I would say that we're on a temporary hiatus that possibly could become permanent, you never know. With that said I realize that's not much of an answer but that's really where things are right now and tomorrow it could all change again."[see full story for A TON more, he discusses a lot of issues like the reunion with Roth, the 04 tour etc]- Click Here for the Full Story

Arctic Mayhem
Gigwise reports: Mayhem surrounded the Arctic Monkeys appearance at South By Southwest on Friday, with nearly 4,000 fans locked out of the gig.

Despite a lukewarm critical reception to the start of the Monkey's American tour, it was estimated nearly half of the festival's 10,000 attendees turned up to see the gig but Austin, Texas' La Zona Rosa venue could only accommodate 1,200.

A festival-goer says, "It was manic. They played La Zona Rosa, but at least half the 10,000 people at the festival turned up hoping to get in. Official wristbands were swapping hands for up to $1,000, even after they'd started playing, but most had to listen through the doors."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

google idol
hecklerspray reports: Shows like Pop Idol and X Factor and American Idol are OK, but they're a bit old-fashioned. Sitting in front of a TV and paying to vote? Bleugh. And don't even think about entering the competitions.

The future to American Idol is here, and it looks like Google Idol. Google Idol is a sort of online talent show, and Google Idol is also ridiculously entertaining. The idea behind Google Idol is a simple one - people lip-synch to popular hits of the day into a webcam, bung it on Google Video and then send it to Google Idol, where all manner of people can vote on it [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
