Smashing Title
SMN reports: THE SMASHING PUMPKINS have christened their reunion album "Zeitgeist" and announced an unusual release date of July 7, a Saturday, for the project, a label for which has yet to be announced. The news was broken this morning to fans that had been added by the band as a "friend" on MySpace.com.

Frontman Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin are the lone original members in this new incarnation of the group. The pair has been working in the studio with producers Roy Thomas Baker and Terry Date on the first album under the PUMPKINS name since 2000's "MACHINA/The Machines of God."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Malevolent Creation Finish Doomsday
SMN reports: Florida Death Metal Merchant's MALEVOLENT CREATION have just finished recording they're 10th full length studio album "Doomsday X" at Mercury Recording Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida. Recorded and Engineered by long time friend and producer Gus Rios, "Doomsday X" is said to be the most diverse MALEVOLENT CREATION album recorded. Matthew Jordan Debut

Kenny Wayne Shepherd Backroads Tour
PR reports: Renowned blues and rock guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd�along with a film crew, a portable recording studio and producer Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads)�embarked on a ten-day journey into the heart of the American South, documenting and recording an impressive lineup of blues veterans. Warner Bros./Reprise Records releases the resulting documentary and accompanying live CD Ten Days Out (Blues From The Backroads) to acclaim. Beginning in March, Shepherd will embark on a national tour along with several of the legendary blues musicians featured in the documentary including Pinetop Perkins, Hubert Sumlin, Bryan Lee and Buddy Flett. The tour will kick off March 13 in Austin and feature performances in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Seattle and Chicago. Honda Civic Tour Dates
PR reports: Fall Out Boy is gearing up to hit the road as this year's Honda Civic Tour headliner. The band will kick off the Honda Civic Tour in support of their new album Infinity On High on April 18th at the Verizon Amphitheater in Charlotte, NC, making stops in over 40 cities along the way. The band will play a special performance in The Honda Center in Anaheim, CA and end the tour for all of their local fans in Chicago. Supporting Fall Out Boy will be Plus Forty Four (+44), the band created by former blink-182 members Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus, also past Honda Civic Tour headliners. Florida Music Fest
PR reports: Florida Music Fest 2007 will take place May 16-20th with performances from 250 artists on 15 stages. As the largest music networking event in the southeast, the festival takes over the streets of Downtown Orlando each spring for 4 days of music, film, art and the sharing of industry knowledge.
