Lana Del Rey Releases 'Tropico' Trailer

(Radio.com) From the looks of the trailer for her new short film Tropico, Lana Del Rey is still struggling with her summertime sadness. The minute-long clip starts with a shot of Lana and her lover, played by model Shaun Ross, as he tells her, "You know it's not always going to be this way, right?" She assures him she knows with a wavering "yeah" and a shake of her head.

But as the rest of the dialogue-less trailer reveals in quick flashes that include Lana working in the strip club and her boyfriend pointing finger guns at every man in his path, it doesn't seem like things are going to get better for these two anytime soon.

Lana has been teasing her forthcoming 30-minute short film, which is produced by Rick Rubin and directed by frequent Lana collaborator Anthony Mandler, who did the "National Anthem" and "Ride" videos, as her farewell project for months.

The film is cited as being, "A tale of redemption to the music of Body Electric God's and Monster's Bel Air," all of which are titles of songs featured on Del Rey's 2012 release, Born to Die Paradise Edition. Watch the trailer here.
